The New 360° Cityshapers Website

Welcome to the new-look 360° Cityshapers website.  We hope you like the new design & feel, and that it’s a faster, smoother experience for clients and visitors.

The start of 2026 sees me focusing on ongoing commissions rolling over from 2025, and developing some new & exciting activities & partnerships - more on the latter over the next few months! 

Ongoing commissions include the final phases of the EU URBACT ‘Urban Pioneers Accelerator’ programme, where I’ve been supporting cities in 5 Western Balkan states on developing their knowledge and technical skills as a Thematic Expert in sustainable urbanism and urban greening.  

After many years of working in cities & regions with a long history of engagement in sustainable urbanism, it’s been fascinating to work with cities who are at the early stages of their journey in tackling challenges around urban green & blue infrastructure, pollution & congestion, climate change adaptation & resilience, biodiversity, etc, and essential associated tolls & methodologies in genuine two-way stakeholder engagement, participatory design, social inclusion and volunteering.  

This year will see each UPA city progress their concepts and detailed design for their pilot green infrastructure projects, whilst also participating in URBACT Expert-led masterclasses, collective learning events and a series of further intensive study visits to absorb best practice in Europe.  It’s going to be a challenge for sure, but from the evidence of the commitment and enthusiasm of all participants from every UPA city - plus the support & teamworking my other 3 Thematic Expert colleagues - I’m convinced it will be a rewarding and successful experience for all!
