Our founding director, Kerri Farnsworth, was invited to write this week’s blog in the leading UK housing sector magazine, “Inside Housing”, as part of her role on the Editorial Board of Thinkhouse, the online portal which collates research, innovation and best practice in housing from the UK and beyond.
In the blog Kerri reviewed 3 key reports published in January/February which highlight the current connections – and tensions – between the UK planning system, the urgent need to increase volume of house-building and the quality of housing that is being built. Whilst the blog is focused on the UK market, it has relevance to similar challenges being faced in other countries across the world in due to rapid population growth and demographics changes, evolving housing needs & expectations and the need to improve sustainability and futureproofing in housing design.
